Self Assessment Questions (SAQs)
Each module/section includes a number of SAQs with solutions
at the back. To achieve the greatest benefit you should make a genuine effort
to deal with each SAQ before looking at the solution. Your solutions do not
have to be submitted to the tutor.
Tutor Marked Assignments (TMAs)
You are required to complete a total of 7 TMAs. Five cover
Mathematics and Technology (one per module) and the other 2 cover Software
and Computer Techniques [Modules 6 and 7 (sections 1-4)]. You may spend as
long as you wish answering each TMA and may refer to the unit text while doing
so. As soon as it is completed, each TMA should be sent to the Command Technology
Group clerk who will distribute them to the tutor for marking; please ensure
you follow the instructions on the front cover of the TMA. The TMAs will be
marked and returned to you as soon as possible. To prevent delays, please
notify us if your unit address shown on the envelope containing the distance
learning pack is incorrect.
Study Programme
The 2 subject areas of Mathematics and Electrotechnology and
Software and Computer Techniques should be studied in parallel. You would
normally have been given at least one month to study each module. It is important
that you keep up to date with your studies whenever possible. To ensure that
you do, deadlines have been set for each TMA submission. These should be adhered
to whenever possible. If you are unable to meet a deadline, then a phone call
to your tutor in advance would be much appreciated.
